If This Is You

Ten hidden burdens
of an accomplished retirement.

You are not the type to ask for help. You are the type to protect your time. If these ten burdens ring true, Good Life was built for you.

01

Your calendar fills with appointments, vendors, bills, and small decisions you never had to make ten years ago.

02

You own more than one residence. Each adds its own contractors, security checks, and storm repairs.

03

You want to stay in your home, and the logistics of staying independent keep growing.

04

You have money and a full calendar, and still see fewer people than you would like.

05

Smart homes, streaming accounts, Medicare portals, password managers, and software updates eat your afternoons.

06

You have excellent doctors. No one coordinates the specialists, imaging, records, and insurance paperwork between them.

07

You keep asking who you can trust: electricians, landscapers, cleaners, caregivers, movers.

08

Your children or closest support live in another city, and they worry from a distance.

09

An hour spent waiting for the cable company is an hour taken from skiing, sailing, grandchildren, or travel.

10

Your real concern is not age. You want to keep your license, your routines, and your home.

Ned Small, founder of Good Life Concierge

Meet Ned

Helping people age on their own terms.

How I got here

My path was anything but linear. I started in health and fitness. When clients faced strokes, Parkinson's disease and frontotemporal dementia, I moved into rehabilitation and caregiving. That work taught me how much support active, aging adults actually need to stay independent.

Over time, families began asking me to help manage more than their care. I became an estate manager and traveling personal assistant for aging founders and accomplished individuals, coordinating schedules, homes, travel, staff and wellness.

The work was rewarding, but I could only serve one person at a time. I left traditional private service to build Good Life Concierge, so I could bring that same standard to more families.

What I believe

I believe the best help is often the kind you barely notice. Accepting support should not take over your life. It should give you greater freedom to live it. I believe aging should be fearless. It should leave room for travel, meaningful work, exercise, adventure, relationships, community, new careers and continued learning. Getting older shouldn't mean abandoning the life you've built.

I believe aging should be fearless.

What I bring to your home

Today I serve as a calm, trusted point of contact for busy households. My background bridges personal assistance, household management, caregiving, wellness and positive aging. Rather than coordinating several different professionals, my clients rely on one person who sees the whole picture, connects the dots and keeps everything moving in the right direction.

The best help is often the kind you barely notice.

I am an empathetic listener, a problem solver and a fierce advocate. Because the good life is less complexity, less stress and more freedom. That's the Good Life. And that's the life I want to help you keep living.

Evidence-Informed Support

For accomplished retirees.
For the people protecting their future.

The right support is not about needing help. You defend the life you built against three threats: loneliness, stress, and physical decline.

Social contact supports cognition and longevity

Companionship That Protects the Mind

Isolation erodes health, with or without family nearby. Ned gives you steady company through conversation, outings, and shared activities. He also advocates for you, and keeps you connected to the people and routines you rely on.

Peace of mind:

For adult children and advisors at a distance: a warm, dependable presence in the home each week.

Delegating daily work returns your energy

Household Management That Lowers Stress

Ned oversees vendors, files and reconciles accounts, organizes rooms, runs errands, and solves your tech related issues. He manages moves and safeguards homes with weekly inspections. Your home runs smoothly, and so does your week.

Peace of mind:

For those looking in from afar: the home, the accounts, and the daily details stay watched.

One point of contact for every lifestyle detail

Concierge Work That Anticipates Your Needs

Ned acts as your medical liaison and builds your wellness itinerary. He handles gifting, philanthropy, and hard-to-find sourcing. He books travel, plans itineraries, secures tickets and reservations, and introduces you to the best local restaurants and supper clubs. He also streamlines vendors, reconciles accounts, and watches for fraud.

Peace of mind:

For families and advisors: appointments, travel, properties, and vendors run through one reliable person.

What You're Really Buying

Not help.
Time, certainty, privacy, freedom.

Ned serves active, aging adults with discerning taste across Seattle's Eastside Communities. You do not need another vendor. You need one trusted person to protect the life you built.

01

Your time, returned to you.

Retirement should buy back your hours. Ned takes the vendors, scheduling, tech support, and paperwork off your calendar. You keep the days.

02

One trusted contact for every detail.

Contractors, cleaners, electricians, landscapers, movers, caregivers, and deliveries run through one person who knows your household and your standard. You stop wondering who to call or whether the work was done right.

03

A steady hand across every home.

Each extra residence adds another set of vendors and repairs. Ned prepares each home before you arrive, oversees maintenance while you are away, and keeps every property running.

04

Technology, out of your way.

Smart-home settings, streaming accounts, password managers, Medicare portals, banking updates, and software prompts. You have better uses for your afternoon. Ned handles them.

05

Healthcare, coordinated end to end.

Seattle has excellent care and few coordinators. Ned schedules specialists, manages records, attends appointments as a second set of ears, and keeps every provider working from the same information.

06

Independence, protected.

You built your independence. Ned protects it. He checks for safety gaps, solves the small issues that slow you down, and keeps your routines and home intact. No loss of control. No unwanted care.

"I don't want to spend retirement dealing with logistics."

This is the most common thing Ned hears. And the most common problem he solves.

If three of these burdens sound familiar, support is no longer a luxury. It is a strategy.

In Their Words

Trusted by families
during life's most tender chapters.

I had the privilege of working with Ned, who served as a personal assistant and transitional care support for my mother over several years.

From the start, Ned approached the role with exceptional care, professionalism, and empathy, qualities that made an enormous difference in my mother's quality of life. He provided comprehensive support centered on healthy aging in place, coordinating everything from daily exercise routines and meal planning to medical appointments and follow-up with healthcare providers.

As my mother's needs evolved due to dementia, Ned skillfully expanded his scope, managing her household and finances, organizing paperwork and bills, and assisting with shopping and errands. He also oversaw multiple transitions, helping her downsize and move three times, each handled with patience, organization, and sensitivity.

Beyond his skills and reliability, what stood out most was Ned's kindness and genuine concern for my mother's well-being. He built trust not only with her but with our entire family, offering steady reassurance during what can be a very challenging time for aging loved ones.

I wholeheartedly recommend Ned to anyone seeking dedicated, compassionate, and highly capable personal assistance or transitional elder care support. His integrity and commitment make him an invaluable part of any family's care team.

Leslie D.

Daughter & Family Principal

Ned has been a lifesaver in caring for my 95-year-old mom, who is still living independently, but would be in deep trouble were it not for Ned.

He is kind, gentle, and intuitive in his interactions with my mom. He is also multitalented, managing to troubleshoot all manner of household and personal challenges with skill and ingenuity.

In addition to personal care, his technical and property management skills have been crucial in allowing my mom to remain in her home. He identifies and solves problems from cable, TV, and internet to plumbing leaks and much more. Ned has saved my mom money by identifying unnecessary expenses we were able to eliminate thanks to his efforts.

Our entire family is grateful to have Ned's compassionate, knowledgeable presence in our mom's life.

We would enthusiastically recommend him for any family in a similar situation with an elderly loved one seeking to age as comfortably as possible in place.

Questions

Is Good Life
right for you?

We serve accomplished individuals and couples across Seattle's Eastside Communities: active retirees, empty-nesters, and adults in the later seasons of life who want to stay independent at home. Some clients have no children. Others have adult children in another state, or advisors who need a steady local presence. If you value discretion and continuity, you are likely a fit.

Our primary service area is Seattle's Eastside Communities. We also take à la carte projects, special engagements, and secondary residences elsewhere in Washington or out of state at our discretion. If your situation reaches beyond Seattle's Eastside Communities, tell us. We often find a way to help.

Good Life Concierge runs on a membership model built to be exclusive, not obstructive. We offer three tiers with clear pricing, plus à la carte options for one-off projects or for a trial before a larger commitment. We cap membership at 15 families so we never drop the ball. Become a founding member before it's too late.

No. Good Life works with active, aging adults. Most clients are retired. Many still work full time in the C-suite, lead passion projects, or serve on boards. They share one goal: protect an independent life without letting logistics crowd out what matters.

Most concierges arrange experiences. We safeguard a way of life. The work combines household management, healthcare coordination, project oversight, and companionship, planned for the long term. We anticipate problems before you or your family notice them.

You are ready when the logistics of daily life start competing with the life you want. Common signals: you feel worn down by appointments, vendor calls, technology, or household upkeep. Your family worries from a distance. You want to stay in your home, but the details required to do that keep multiplying. If you would rather spend your energy on people, projects, and purpose than on coordination, it is time to talk.

Yes. Many engagements start with a son, daughter, or advisor calling from another city. We become your local eyes and ears: coordinating care, visiting the home, catching small issues early, and reporting back clearly.

Household oversight and vendor management, appointment scheduling and healthcare coordination, bill pay reminders and spending leak detection, travel planning, technology troubleshooting, organization, automation and systems set-up, project management, meal and exercise planning, and companionship that keeps you socially connected and mentally engaged.

We do not drive clients in our own vehicles. We are happy to drive you or your loved one in their registered, insured, and safe vehicle.

Our standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm, and Saturday, 7am to 12pm. For requests outside these hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, please see our Pricing page for rate details.

Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Everyone receives one grace cancellation. After that, late cancellations are charged for the hours reserved.

No. Good Life Concierge is not a caregiving agency, housekeeping service, or landscaping and gardening professional. We do not provide personal care, bathing, dressing, medication administration, skilled nursing, housekeeping, or hands-on yard work. Our role covers lifestyle management, household coordination, and companionship. If you ever need personal care, housekeeping, or landscaping, we source and coordinate the right professionals from our network.

No, we do not offer any of those services. We will help you coordinate and organize for your meetings with your lawyers, CPAs, family office or your fiduciary, if you ever need.

Discretion carries the work. We hold strict confidentiality, set clear boundaries, and respect the privacy of your home. We share no detail without your permission.

Yes. We collaborate with your broader advisory team. We coordinate with trust officers, flag unusual expenses, and support power-of-attorney workflows alongside the professionals already looking after your affairs.

You start with a private discovery conversation and receive a tailored scope of service. Some clients want full lifestyle management. Others want household oversight or companionship. We adjust the scope as your life changes.

Send a confidential email. Describe your situation, or the situation of someone you love, and we will arrange a private conversation to see whether Good Life fits. No pressure, only clarity.
